In preparation for the snowstorm hitting our campus tonight and tomorrow, University Police, in cooperation with Facilities Management, asks for your cooperation in our efforts to ensure that the campus may be cleared of snow and ice as efficiently as possible. To do so, we ask that all members of our campus community assist us by following the regulations outlined below. It should be noted that vehicles that are not properly moved to one of these identified parking areas may be ticketed or towed and the registered vehicle owner’s expense.
• All resident students are asked to move their vehicles to one of the following parking locations: the lot behind Kemp Library, the lot on Gwendolyn Street, or the lot on Marguerite Street (lots C38, C40, or R42 on the ESU map) by 7:00 pm tonight. ESU map may be found at http://www4.esu.edu/about/campus/documents/pdf/esu.pdf.
• Commuter students, faculty, and staff are asked to remove their vehicles from campus by 7:00 p.m. this evening. If there is a need for you to remain on campus after the time mentioned above, please park your vehicle in one of the three aforementioned lots
• Please refrain from all street parking and metered parking, specifically on Normal Street, Centre Street, and Smith Street as of 7:00 p.m. tonight.
Following this snow removal endeavor, we will distribute another message to the campus community with additional updates about parking. Please know that your cooperation is crucial to the overall safety on campus, and will also be a tremendous help to the essential personnel who will be working long hours in the extreme weather to keep the roadways and walkways clear.
