State System, APSCUF Reach Tentative Agreement, Strike Ends

Late Friday afternoon, we received an announcement that the strike between the faculty union (APSCUF) and the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education has been settled. Faculty members will return to work effective midnight tonight. For students that have regularly scheduled classes this weekend, report as scheduled. All other students should follow their class schedules starting Monday, October 24.

The Publications Department of the Office of University Relations is responsible for institutional publications production and distribution, as well as creation of advertisements, flyers, brochures, student recruitment materials, catalogs, postcards, handbooks, posters, digital signage, newsletters, magazines, event programs, annual reports, business cards, marketing materials, banners and other materials designed to communicate with and inform audiences about ESU.

The Publications team provides:

  • Graphic design for university publications
  • Writing, editing and proofreading
  • Preparation of printing specifications for external competitive bids when internal printing is not an option
  • Coordination and management of above pre-print production services and schedules
  • Review of all university-related print projects including projects created independently of our office to ensure university standards are met
  • Transformation of Microsoft Word or Publisher files (when independently created) into higher end publications and Web sites to meet university standards as well as department and office needs
  • Branding assistance for all university publications
