Why is my internet not working in my room?
Plug your computer directly into the network jack in your room's wall. Do not use any routers (wireless or wired). Before accessing the Internet, computers will be scanned for functioning antivirus software and the latest Windows updates, click here for more information. Failure to have updates installed will delay your access to the Internet. All residence halls have wireless access. If problems persists contact John Babio at ext. 3500.

Are there any WIFI hotspots on campus?
Yes; the Library, Fine Arts, University Center, Science & Technology Building, Residence halls, Rosenkrans Tutoring area and "Quad" (weather permitting) are "hotspots" for students. Faculty can contact Academic Computing if they need wireless access elsewhere.

How do I log onto a computer on campus?
Once you activate your account online from home or on Campus (in the Academic Computing office), you should be able to log onto any lab computer on campus. Enter your username, password, and make sure the domain is set to "STUDENT".

What if I need help with WebCT/Moodle?
Contact Larry Gordon (ext. 3058) or stop by his office: Stroud 321.

I don't remember my password/activate Account:

Can I check my email from home?
Yes, go to https://ssl.esu.edu/.

What happens when I graduate or leave ESU?
E-mail accounts (including computer access and web accounts) are available to all registered students. Your account will remain active as long as you register for courses from semester-to-semester, register in the spring for the following fall semester, or register in the fall for the following spring semester.

If you are not registered as stated (graduated or not returning)or if your semester credit total equals zero a week after the last day to register, your account (email, web and computer) will be disabled and purged one month after. Once purged your account cannot be restored however a new account will be created if you re-register.
