The Office of Sponsored Projects and Research (OSPR) encourages the ESU community to seek funding from outside sources to support a vibrant, creative and research-oriented community.
Resources are available to match ideas to potential funding sources and to assist in the interpretation of sponsor guidelines. East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s KEMP Library houses the Foundation Center’s searchable database, which allows faculty, staff and students the ability to search for additional funding opportunities. The Office of Sponsored Projects and Research also has access to other search tools.
The OSPR can assist in all aspects of the grant process: from searching for funding, to preparation of the project budget, review and completion of any required certifications, review of the proposal for compliance issues, to transmittal of the proposal to the funder.
How to get started?
Need help finding funding? If so, please fill in this online form and someone will get in touch with you to follow up.
Already have funding? You would like to move forward in submitting a proposal? Please review this pre-award flow chart that explains the steps involved in submitting a grant proposal.
When it is time, please fill in the Internal Clearance Form, which should be submitted with your proposal.
Faculty interested in pursuing external funding are encouraged to contact the OSPR at the earliest stage of project development, specifically prior to contacting public or private funders to ensure that the application is developed in compliance with university and sponsored policies, and that proposals can be developed and submitted in a timely manner. The internal review with OSPR can take a number of days, depending on the complexity of the proposal, and obtaining the necessary signatures can also take anywhere between 2-7 business days.
