The library provides access to a large selection of electronic resources called databases. Most of our databases provide access to journal, magazine, and newspaper articles. Some offer access to conference papers, book chapters, dissertations, technical reports and at times data such as statistical information. Items in a database may be a citation, an abstract, or the full text of the article or document. The information you find may be saved, emailed or printed and all of our databases are available for you to search and get the information you need on or off campus.
Kemp Library databases cover a range of subject areas. If you’re trying to decide on a topic for a project, just need one article, or want some basic information, start your search in the multidisciplinary database Academic Search Complete. For more in-depth research, you may want to also consult one of our many subject specific databases like PsycINFO (for psychology) or MathSciNet (for mathematics).
Regardless of what your research needs are, our librarians are always available to help you choose the most appropriate database(s) for your research and to help you develop search strategies that produce relevant, useful results in a time saving manner.
