About our Databases

Quick Article Search

The Quick Article Search searches for basic topics across multiple databases.  It helps to identify which databases might have the most information on your topic.  Once you've clicked on a link to an article in that database you can then do a more detailed search within that specific database.  Alternately, if you know which database you want to use go to our alphabetical list of databases and select that database from the A-Z list.

To help you locate appropriate sources for your research needs, Kemp library has a wide collection of general and discipline specific databases.  Most of our databases will help you find articles on your topic in journals, magazines or newspapers.  Other sources such as dissertations,  book chapters, statistical information and more may be included.  In many instances you will be able to link to the full text of the information.  When full text is not available you can click on the "Check availability" link to determine if the item is electronically available in a different database.  You should also check our red list book to see if the library has a print subscription to the periodical you need.  Almost all of our databases are accessible to you from off campus locations.  Check our web page under Off Campus Access for more information on remote logon.
