Our Mission, Vision, and Values

It is the mission of the Facilities Management Department to effectively plan, build, operate, and maintain facilities in support of education.  Our vision, is to be an efficient, responsible, and responsive team.  We strive to achieve both our mission and vision by incorporating our strategic initiatives with our values.  We believe that everyone must be treated with civility and all issues handled responsibly.

Strategic Initiatives

1. Customer Focus - Change the service orientation of the department from task oriented to customer oriented.
    
2. Environmental Change - Create an envirnment that reflects civility and embraces diversity.
    
3. Systematic Planning - Develop a long range facilities master plan that guides all future capital investments.
    
4. Optimization of Resources - Promote cross training to optimally utilize available human resources.
    
5. Embrace Sustainability - Promote sustainability in construction projects and embrace the philosophy of reducing, reusing, and recycling in all decisions connected to operations, with special reference to procurement.
