A Message from the 2009 SECA Campaign Committee Since 1977, Commonwealth employees have continued a tradition of charity and generously given to the SECA (State Employee Combined Appeal). Your contributions provide relief to many and support a wide array of charitable organizations.
This year the campaign will run through the middle of November. Our effort this year is to increase the level of participation so that each one of the faculty, staff and employees of ESU may take part in this great cause.
Through payroll deduction you can easily contribute in small installment that actually add up to a lot of relief for those in need now. Every little bit helps! Even $1 per paycheck, when combined with the total university community, grows into a significant contribution. We therefore ask you to join in and be a part of the help!
The committee would also like to acknowledge support from local business helping us in this effort by way of donating goods and service that will be given out to those who turn in their pledges through a drawing that will be held at the conclusion of the campaign. So while you take part in a charitable cause, you also get a chance at winning some wonderful prizes
Please do not pass this opportunity to help those less fortunate than us.
Robin Olsen & Syed Zaidi Co-Chairs of the 2009 Campaign
Giving SECA provides different options to make a tax deductible contribution to the charity of your choice using a pledge card. You can choose Payroll Deduction, Check, Money Order, Cash, or Credit Card.
Designating Your Gift Every charity has a designation code that must be provided on your pledge form. Space is provided to designate gifts to four charities on your pledge form. If you want to designate to more than four charities, please complete a blank pledge form to list the additional designations. Please fill in the following sections on the blank form: Name, Department, Employee Identification Number, Department Code, Bureau Code, Employee Contribution Information, and Agency Designations that could not be listed on your preprinted form. You can contribute to SECA without assigning your contribution to a particular agency. If you want your contribution to be distributed proportionately to the eight umbrella organizations/funds, leave the Agency Designation portion of the form blank.
