Mission Statment
The primary mission of the University Police Department is the protection of life and property by providing law enforcement and security services to facilitate a safe and peaceful campus environment. In addition, the Police Department strives to serve all individuals in an environment of equality, dignity, and mutual respect.

To fulfill this mission, we will:

  • Enforce university regulations, as well as local state and federal laws with integrity, professionalism and sound judgment, acting without fear;
  • Identify and eliminate hazards and opportunities for crime and establish effective crime prevention programs to educate the university community;
  • Control traffic, parking, and facilitate the usage of university vehicles; and
  • Provide informational and emergency assistance to the campus community and visitors to the university.
