Hello, and welcome to ESU! My name is Dave Campbell, and I serve the students and the department in a variety of different roles. My main areas of responsibility include coordinating all housing assignments and room changes, entering and tracking work requests and damage bills, procuring furniture for the residence halls, overseeing technology and security applications for the halls, and serving as liaison with the Facilities Management department. I am also the full time Resident Director for Shawnee Hall. Prior to coming to ESU, I worked at Dickinson College, Robert Morris College, and Millersville University in similar roles.
I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from Lock Haven University, and an M.A in Counseling from Edinboro University. I was born in Rhode Island, but raised mostly in north and central Pennsylvania (Wellsboro and Lock Haven). I have been around college students all of my life as my father was a professor at Mansfield University when I was a young child, and now teaches at Lock Haven University. My mother and both of my brothers have degrees from Lock Haven as well. I highly value the education I received from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and don't believe you can find a better education at a more affordable price anywhere.
I am married and have two daughters; Tarryn is in high school and Emmalyn in middle school. I like all kinds of sports, but mostly football and soccer. I love to watch movies, listen to music, and cook as well. I believe that students will find me to be friendly and approachable, as well as fair. I also believe strongly in providing help and service, and in having an open door for anyone who wants to talk or is having a problem of any kind.
Welcome again to ESU!
