If you do not have a pass-phrase (or you lost it), you can obtain one at the Center for Enrollment Services.
  2. Day and Time to Register: The day and time you are scheduled to register is recorded on the lower left side of your yellow registration postcard. Registration will be allowed on or after the day and time listed. You were scheduled for registration based on your current enrollment credits, plus the total credits you have completed.
  3. Advisor: The name of your advisor is also listed on the yellow registration postcard. Please meet with your advisor to select the courses you plan to take, prior to registering. YOU MUST GET YOUR FOUR DIGIT PIN # (PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) FROM YOUR ADVISOR. REGISTRATION WILL NOT OCCUR WITHOUT A STUDENT PIN NUMBER!
  4. University Obligations/Delinquencies: Students must fulfill all university obligations/ delinquencies with the offices listed on the yellow registration card. Registration will be allowed only when obligations/delinquencies have been fulfilled.
  5. Registration into Closed Sections: Add cards are to be used to enroll in closed sections. These cards are available in departmental offices and in the Center for Enrollment Services. The cards require the signature of the instructor and must be submitted to the Center for Enrollment Services promptly.
  6. Prerequisites to Courses: You are responsible for checking the current university catalog for prerequisites to any courses you are planning to take. Prerequisites may be waived by obtaining approval of the instructor(s) teaching the course(s).
GRADUATE REGISTRATION
  1. Registration Information: As a graduate student you may register online using the pass phrase that was mailed to you. If you have recently been admitted to the Graduate School and do not have a pass phrase you may obtain one from the Center for Enrollment Services. PLEASE NOTE: PIN numbers are not required for graduate students.
  2. Registering if not already admitted in a graduate program: Apply for admission as soon as possible. Application forms and the catalog are available on the web at www.esu.edu. Applications usually take 5-7 weeks to process. If you need to enroll at the last minute, contact the Graduate School at 570-422-3536 or toll free 866-837-6130. Summer graduate school enrollment does not constitute formal admission to a graduate program. No phone/fax applications are accepted. **If you only want to take one course, you still need to apply for admission as a non-degree student.
  3. University Obligations/Delinquencies: Students must fulfill all university obligations prior to registration.
  4. Registration into Closed Sections: If you register by telephone, the operator will tell you immediately if a course is closed. You may then choose to be put on a waiting list (if available), or give an alternate course/section number. If you register by mail or fax, we will notify you if a class you have selected is closed. PLEASE NOTE: If the courses you selected are available you will not receive verification of registration.
  5. Undergraduate students wanting to take grad courses: You may take one graduate course if you have 90 undergraduate credits, a 3.0 grade point average in your major, a 2.5 GPA overall and the permission of the instructor and the Graduate Dean. You will need to obtain a signed ADD card regardless of whether the class is open or closed.
