* NEW FOR SPRING 2010!
Your class schedule is regarded as a contract. The policies below may affect or change your registration status. A student attending a course without prior registration and payment of tuition and fees does not constitute de facto enrollment. Refer to the academic calendar for processing deadlines for these policies.
Fulltime Undergraduate students register for 12-18 credits. If you are registered for at least 6 credits but less than 12, you are considered part time. Registration in less than 6 credits is considered less than half time.
Full time Graduate students register for 9-15 credits. If you are registered for at least 6 credits but less than 9, you are considered part time. Registration in less than 6 credits is considered less than half time.
ACADEMIC JEOPARDY If are currently on academic jeopardy (warning or probation), you are only allowed to register for 13 credits for next semester.
COURSE ADDITIONS* Courses must be added the first ten days of the semester by completing the appropriate processing card - add, audit, non-classroom. Quarter classes must be added during the first four days of the quarter.
COURSE (DROPS) WITHDRAWALS* Students have the first five days of the semester to drop a class without it appearing on their transcript. Quarter classes drops should be completed the first three days of the quarter to avoid the class appearing on the transcript. Students have from the 2nd through the 10th week to withdraw from a class. During that time a "W" grade is assigned. After the tenth week, students can withdraw only with extenuating circumstances. There is a maximum limit of 16 credits of withdraws. ("W" grades assigned before spring 1994 are not counted for this maximum limit.)
COURSE AUDITS Permission to Audit card must be submitted by the end of the fifth day of the semester.
COURSE REPEATS* Students may not register to repeat a course until the end of the regular registration period (11/4/09-11/23/09). This includes any course that a student either is currently enrolled in or has received a grade for, other than a W or Z.
UNDERGRADUATES TAKING MORE THAN 18 CREDITS
Undergraduate students who wish to register for more than 18 credits must secure permission from their advisor. Signed permission cards should be returned to the Center for Enrollment Services along with your add card for the additional course(s).
THE ABOVE POLICIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGES. SEE YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR FOR FURTHER DETAILS. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ALSO AVAILABLE IN THE ACADEMIC CATALOG.
