EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University student-athletes Caitlin Kuhn and Alyson Stark have been selected to the All-PSAC East women's volleyball second team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Kuhn (Jim Thorpe/Marian Catholic), a senior middle blocker, and Stark (Churchville/Council Rock South), a sophomore outside hitter, helped the Warriors reach the PSAC tournament for the second time in three seasons in 2008.

Kuhn set school records for blocks in a single season (127) and career (410) and was named All-PSAC East for the second time after earning mention as a sophomore. She was one of the top middle blockers in the conference during her career at ESU and has the top three single-season block totals in school history in each of the last three seasons.

She ranked fourth in the PSAC in blocks this season and had five or more blocks in 12 of the Warriors' 36 matches. Her top match came in a five-set win over Shippensburg, when she had seven kills and 10 blocks to give ESU a pivotal PSAC East victory.

Offensively, Kuhn had 177 kills this season, good for 1.4 per game, and led ESU with a .235 hitting percentage. Her 806 career kills rank seventh in the school record book.

Stark led ESU in kills per game (2.6) for the second straight season and had 299 kills in 31 matches. She reached double figures 17 times and finished the season with 12 straight matches with at least eight kills.

Her .186 attack percentage was the best among the team's outside hitters, and she also had a team-high 33 aces and finished third with 58 blocks. She also contributed 158 digs, or 1.3 per game.

Stark has 532 career kills in her first two years at ESU and leads a group of four returning starters, along with outside hitters Brianne Bachman and Emily Detter and middle blocker Heather Paulus, for the 2009 season.
