EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore outside hitter Alyson Stark has been named East Stroudsburg University's ABC Trophy, Inc. Athlete of the Week after leading the women's volleyball team to the PSAC playoffs for the second time in three seasons.

Stark (Churchville/Council Rock South) had 10 kills in ESU's 3-0 win over Kutztown last Tuesday at Koehler Fieldhouse that sealed the Warriors' postseason bid. She has recorded 10 kills or more in 17 matches this season and has at least eight kills in 10 straight contests entering the regular season finale on Saturday vs. Lock Haven.

Stark has led the Warriors in kills per game in both of her first two seasons, with 2.9 as a freshman and 2.6 as a sophomore. She surpassed 500 career kills in Tuesday's match at Shippensburg and has 99 career blocks, and should move into the top 10 in school history in both categories during her junior year.

ESU (15-19, 5-6) will travel to face Lock Haven, the PSAC East's top seed, in the conference quarterfinals on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
