EAST STROUDSBURG - Freshman Lauren Hoffman had double-digit kills in both matches to lead the East Stroudsburg University women's volleyball team to a pair of victories on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors (8-10) outlasted Bridgeport in four games (30-22, 27-30, 31-29, 31-29) before taking Caldwell in three games (30-21, 30-22, 30-23) to finish with a 3-1 record over the weekend. ESU beat Tiffin 3-2 and fell to Bryant 3-0 on Friday.

Hoffman had 14 kills against Bridgeport, and Caitlin Kuhn and Kayla Mahaffay added 11 kills each. Kuhn (3.5 blocks) and Brianne Bachman (2.5 blocks) helped the Warriors record 11 blocks in the match. Freshman setter Amy Casteel had 40 assists and a team-high 15 digs.

ESU had five players with at least seven kills in a balanced attack against Caldwell. Hoffman and classmate Diana Gibson were the top hitters with 12 and nine kills, respectively. Senior Liz Johnson had 27 assists, and junior Kim Dormer contributed 21 digs.

ESU will return to action on Tuesday with a PSAC East contest against Millersville at 7 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
