Michelle Kreeger enters her second season as the head coach of the East Stroudsburg University women's volleyball program after leading the Warriors to a PSAC tournament appearance in her first year at the helm.
ESU went 21-14 overall and 8-2 in the PSAC East in Kreeger's inaugural season and returned to the postseason for the first time since 2004. Dawn Peipher was named All-Region after placing third in the nation with 7.0 digs per game, and became the 16th player in NCAA Division II history to reach 2,000 career digs. Peipher and Jenn Mills were named first team All-PSAC, while Nikki LeBlanc and returner Caitlin Kuhn were named to the second team.
Kreeger came to ESU after serving as head coach at Franklin Pierce College for one season, where she helped the Ravens to a 14-13 record overall and an 8-5 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference. They were fourth at the postseason tournament for their best finish since joining the conference. She also served as the compliance coordinator and assistant lacrosse coach.
Before joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Kreeger led the Metro American 16 and under club team to silver championships at several tournaments and coached at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Va.
Kreeger graduated from American University in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in Literature, and earned her Master's degree in Health and Fitness Management from AU in 2004. She has continued her coaching education through the United States Association of Volleyball and Gold Medal Squared, and holds CAP I and VCS certifications. She resides in East Stroudsburg with her husband Henry and their labrador retrievers, Sadie and Tara.
