EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore Katie D'Ambrosia won her first round "A" singles match and teamed with sophomore Jamie Ferrigno for a win in "A" doubles to lead the East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team at last weekend's ITA Atlantic Regional at Bloomsburg.

D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno and senior Sarah Deisher and junior Marissa Tanner also posted 8-0 wins in doubles matches in the Warriors' 9-0 win over Caldwell on Monday afternoon at Wolbers Courts.

D'Ambrosia defeated Kassie Leuschel of Clarion 3-6, 6-2, 11-9 to advance in the "A" singles bracket of the rain-shortened ITA event in central Pennsylvania. Freshman Amanda Kaufman also competed in "A" singles, falling 6-2, 6-2 to Amanda Kaufman of West Virginia Wesleyan.

The Warriors' top doubles pair knocked off Sabrina Arnaud and Nicole Devine of Kutztown 8-4.

In the "B" singles draw, Tanner beat Courtney Conway of Mercyhurst 8-6 and Ferrigno advanced with a first round bye before the tournament was discontinued due to rain.
