KUTZTOWN - The host Golden Bears earned a pair of victories over East Stroudsburg University in tennis on Thursday afternoon at Kutztown.

Freshman Jamie Ferrigno, the reigning PSAC East Player of the Week, contributed to a pair of wins for two of ESU's three points in a 6-3 loss for the Warriors' women.

Ferrigno defeated Tess Wright 6-0, 6-2 at fourth singles and teamed with classmate Katie D'Ambrosia for an 8-3 win over Wright and Kaeley McCabe at second doubles.

Junior Sarah Deisher also picked up a win for ESU with a 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 5 singles.

Kutztown's men posted an 8-1 win over the Warriors, with freshman Will Norris earning the only win by a 6-0, 6-4 score at fourth singles. Norris and freshman Ryan Baxter fell 9-7 at third doubles.

ESU will be back in action with two matches on Saturday at the Bloomsburg Invitational. Both the men and women will take on the Huskies in the morning, and the women will play Dowling and the men will challenge Stonehill in the afternoon.
