EAST STROUDSBURG - Freshman Jamie Ferrigno is the PSAC East Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week after winning both of her singles matches for the Warriors last weekend.

Ferrigno (West Grove/Avon Grove) posted a pair of victories at fourth singles, defeating her opponents from Adelphi (8-0) and Philadelphia University (8-2).

She improved to 11-4 in singles on the season, which includes five straight wins to make the semifinals of the B singles draw at the ITA East Regional last October.

Ferrigno and freshman Katie D'Ambrosia split their matches at No. 2 doubles, with an 8-0 win against Adelphi and an 8-4 loss to Philadelphia. The tandem won two matches to advance to the semifinals at the PSAC championships in the fall.

ESU travels to Kutztown to take on the Golden Bears on Thursday and will play in the Bloomsburg Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
