CLARION - The East Stroudsburg University swim team placed in three events during the second day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Swimming Championships.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team was eighth, Sally Kaminski was 15th in the 50-yard freestyle and the 400-yard medley relay team was 11th.

Clarion leads the event with 317 points, followed by West Chester (249.5) and IUP (192). ESU is 11th with two days of competition remaining.

Justine Grilz, Jackie Muller, Kim Jones and Kaminski swam a 1:41.32 in the 200 freestyle relay, taking .17 of a second off of their preliminary time.

Kaminski then swam a 25.12 to finish 15th in the 50-yard freestyle. Jones, Corinne Harbold, Jackie Muller and Kaminski finished 11th I the final event of the day, completing the 400 medley relay in 4:14.39.

The championships will continue Friday and Saturday.
