KUTZTOWN – Senior Christine Swiker won the 200 fly, junior Sarah Roscioli won the 50 free and freshman Kimberly Lawson took the 100 fly for East Stroudsburg University in its first dual action in the pool of the 2009-10 season. The Warriors beat Misericordia, 158-104, and fell to host Kutztown 149-102.

Swiker made the championship final in all three of her events at last year’s PSAC Championships and holds school records in the 200 and 400 IM. She clocked a time of 2:16.34 in the 200 fly and also swam the 500 free, finishing fourth in 5:35.39.

Roscioli enters the year as the school record-holder at all three distances in the breast stroke. She posted the top time in the 50 free (25.85) and was third in both the 100 breast (1:11.52) and 200 breast (2:36.07).

Lawson finished in 1:02.06 to win the 100 fly in her first collegiate dual meet, placed second in the 100 free (55.63) and third in the 100 back (1:04.17). Freshman Erin Kirchner also made her collegiate debut in individual events and was fourth in the 1000 free.

Lawson, senior Heather Van O’Linda, Swiker and freshman Ana Osowski placed second in the 200 medley relay in 1:56.64.

The Warriors are back in the pool on Friday, November 6 when they host Lock Haven at 7 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
