Lisa Pizzuto completed her 14th season as head coach of the Warriors' women's swimming program in 2007-08.

She led her team to six consecutive winning seasons in dual action from 2001-02 through 2006-07, and has compiled a 36-15 dual record over the past seven years.

Before coming to ESU, Pizzuto was the assistant coach of the men's and women's swimming teams at her alma mater, Union College, in 1993-94. She helped both teams to top 10 finishes in the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. She also spent one year as an assistant coach at the University of Albany following graduation.

A native of Yonkers, N.Y., Pizzuto was a four-year swimmer at Union where she competed in butterfly, backstroke and distance freestyle events. She was a captain of the Dutchwomen's 1990 team which won the New York state title.

Pizzuto graduated from Union in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and earned a Master of Arts degree in Studio Art from Albany in 1992. She has completed course work for a Masters of Sport Science in Sport Coaching from the United States Sport Academy.
