EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University Director of Athletics Dr. Tom Gioglio is proud to announce the endowment of a new scholarship for the women's swimming program.

The funds for the scholarship were raised under the guidance of head swimming coach Lisa Pizzuto. ESU requires a gift of at least $10,000 to establish an endowed scholarship.

All current and future members of the ESU women's swimming program are eligible to receive the scholarship and are encouraged to apply.

"This is an exciting step for the swimming program and women's athletics at ESU," Gioglio said. "We're always looking for ways to provide opportunities for our student-athletes, and an endowment of this kind is something that will be very positive for Coach Pizzuto and her program."

"I am very pleased to set up this endowment for the ESU women's swimming program," Pizzuto said. "I would like to thank the local community for their support of our Learn to Swim and Masters Swimming programs. It is their support that has made this endowment possible, and will benefit our student-athletes in the future."
