EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University pitcher Kristen Halvorsen has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week following her performances in last weeks games

In three appearances for the Warriors, Halvorsen (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall Central) posted a 3-0 record and did not allow a run in 16 innings. She scattered nine hits and struck out 13 while walking just three. In conference wins over Mansfield and Millersville she totaled 11 strikeouts while allowing just three walks and eight hits.

Her season record rose to 7-9 with a total of 83 strikeouts.

ESU (15-16, 6-2), which is on an eight-game winning streak, will face Shippensburg at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday in PSAC East action at Zimbar Field.
