East Stroudsburg, Pa. - East Stroudsburg University sophomore Crissy Wontroba finished the nearly unhittable last week to be selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Softball Pitcher of the Week.

The sophomore went 2-1 on the week, holding a 0.32 ERA over 21.1 innings. Wontroba did not allow an earned run in three starts, which included a hard-luck 1-0 setback to 13th-ranked Bloomsburg. She picked up wins against West Chester and Kutztown while striking out 12 and walking only two.

The Aldan, Pa. native helped ESU complete its first winning season in eight years with a 22-21-1 overall record. Wontroba finished with a 9-7 record, 2.04 earned run average, two shutouts and 101 strikeouts. The Archbishop Prendergast High grad set a new Warrior single season record by belting four home runs at the plate this season. She finished with a .258 average, 23 hits, two doubles and 21 runs batted in.
