EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior catcher Amanda Feist was named to the first team and seniors Kristen Halvorsen and Candice Pastor were second team selections to give East Stroudsburg University three players on the All-PSAC East softball team, the conference announced Wednesday.
Feist (Allentown/Dieruff) led ESU with five home runs, tied for third in school history, and was the PSAC East Player of the Week following the final week of the season as the Warriors qualified for their second straight conference tournament.
She played in 38 games, starting 31 games at catcher, and had a .270 batting average with 19 runs and 16 runs batted in. She posted a .500 slugging percentage with four doubles and two triples to go with her five home runs.
Halvorsen (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall Central) finished her career as one of the top pitchers in school history with 14 wins and a 2.14 earned run average as a senior. She started 20 of the Warriors' 27 PSAC games, and posted an 11-10 record with 15 complete games and three shutouts against conference competition.
Halvorsen was named ESU's Senior Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and has a 3.91 grade-point average in Exercise Science. She graduates with records for innings (597.1), games (119) and games started (101), is tied for first with 15 shutouts and ranks second with 42 career victories.
Pastor (West Orange, N.J./Montclair Kimberly Academy) was one of the top-fielding third basemen in the PSAC during her four years at ESU. She was second on the team with 17 RBI this season and is fourth in school history with 79 career RBI. She also ranks in the top 10 in home runs (7), doubles (30), extra-base hits (39) and total bases (177). Pastor had a .231 batting average and a .963 fielding percentage as a senior.
