LOCK HAVEN - Steph Denlinger and Ashley Fitzgerald hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning and Kaitlin Arbogast threw a four-hitter as Kutztown defeated East Stroudsburg University 3-0 in the Warriors' second game of the PSAC softball tournament on Thursday.

Senior Kristen Halvorsen threw a one-hit shutout in ESU's 9-0 (5 inn.) win over California in the first game of the day, and made her 100th career start against Kutztown.

Denlinger hit a two-run home run in the first inning, her 16th of the season and the 56th of her career to tie the PSAC record, and Fitzgerald followed with her 15th homer of the year to give the Golden Bears a 3-0 lead.

Halvorsen allowed just four hits the rest of the way, but the Warriors managed only four hits off of Arbogast, who improved to 23-6 on the season.

The Warriors will play the loser of the Lock Haven-Bloomsburg game at noon on Friday. The winner will advance to play Kutztown at 2:30 p.m.
