Huebner graduated with honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2006, where she majored in Hospitality Management and minored in Psychology. She was an outfielder and two-year captain on the softball team during her time at IUP, and was a second team All-PSAC West selection in 2005.

Her coaching experience includes three years at the NFCA Pennsbury Recruiting Camp. She was also a lead instructor at the IUP overnight summer camps for four years and served as the tournament site manager for the NSA World Series qualifier held at IUP. She was an assistant coach at North Penn High School during the 2007 season before coming to ESU.
