EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior catcher Amanda Feist is the PSAC East Softball Player of the Week after hitting .615 with two home runs to help East Stroudsburg University qualify for the PSAC tournament for the second straight season.

Feist (Allentown/Dieruff) was 8-for-13 at the plate and homered in both ends of a doubleheader against Millersville. She also added a triple and had five runs scored and five runs batted in as the Warriors went 3-1 last week to secure the final playoff spot in the PSAC East.

Her first home run accounted for ESU's only run in a 3-1 loss to Millersville in the first game of a doubleheader on Tuesday before the Warriors exploded for 27 runs over their next three games.

She hit a two-run homer in the first inning of the second game against the Marauders, which ESU won 9-1 in five innings. She had an RBI triple and scored in the first inning of a 10-1, five inning win against Mansfield and was 4-for-7 in the doubleheader.

ESU opens the PSAC tournament on Thursday at 10 a.m. against California in its second straight appearance after qualifying last season for the first time since 1981.
