ESU Falls 3-2 at West Chester in 2nd Round of NCAA Playoffs

WEST CHESTER - Brittany Yetter's goal in the 65th minute gave West Chester a two-goal lead and proved to be the game-winner as the Golden Rams defeated East Stroudsburg University 3-2 in the second round of the NCAA Division II women's soccer playoffs on Sunday afternoon.

Hicks and Foder Featured in the Pocono Record

When senior Lynda Hicks assisted on sophomore Lindsay Foder's goal seconds into the second half of East Stroudsburg University's 4-0 NCAA playoff win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday, you would assume it was just one more time the two Pleasant Valley standouts hooked up for a big goal in their soccer careers. But while both players have a lot in common, an overlapping high school soccer career isn't one of them.

Warriors Advance to Play West Chester Sunday at 12 p.m.

WEST CHESTER - Sophomore Lindsay Foder's goal 24 seconds into the second half was the first of three goals for the Warriors in the first 15 minutes of the second period as East Stroudsburg University earned the first NCAA women's soccer playoff victory in school history with a 4-0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday afternoon at West Chester.

Five Warriors Make All-PSAC East Women's Soccer Team, Cleffi, Foder Named All-Atlantic Region

EAST STROUDSBURG - Seniors Janel Cleffi, Lynda Hicks and Tara Takac were all named to the All-PSAC East women's soccer first team and senior goalkeeper Janine Turcio and sophomore Lindsay Foder are members of the second team, the conference announced Tuesday. Cleffi and Foder were also named to the Daktronics Division II Atlantic Region second team.

Warriors Selected to NCAA Playoff Field, Play W.V. Wesleyan on Friday

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University's men's and women's soccer teams were both selected to the NCAA Division II tournament field on Monday. The men will be making their 16th postseason appearance under head coach Jerry Sheska, while the women are in the NCAA playoffs for the second time in school history.

Warriors Play in PSAC Semifinals for Second Straight Year

ERIE - Sophomore Lindsay Foder's goal, which tied the game at 1-1, was the only scoring of the second half and overtime before IUP outlasted East Stroudsburg University 9-8 in penalty kicks to advance to the PSAC women's soccer championship game on Friday afternoon at Mercyhurst College.

BLOOMSBURG - Senior forward Lynda Hicks scored both goals to send East Stroudsburg University to the PSAC women's soccer semifinals for the second straight year with a 2-1 win at Bloomsburg on Tuesday afternoon. The Warriors (11-5-3) play IUP on Friday at 12 p.m. at Mercyhurst.

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University senior forward Lynda Hicks has been named the PSAC East's Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a goal a pair of wins that sent the Warriors into the PSAC playoffs. She has scored at least one goal in nine of the last 10 games.

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University will hold several events to "Think Pink" in the fight against breast cancer, beginning with the Warriors' field hockey and women's soccer games during Homecoming Weekend. The women's volleyball team will also participate later this month, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University women's soccer coach Rob Berkowitz is proud to announce the signing of six student-athletes to National Letters of Intent - Eileen Boneck, Elva Davidsdottir Composto, Linda Martine, Devon Miniscalco, Sarah Rothrock and Amanda Willke. Also joining the Warriors next year will be Jessica Youmans.
