CALIFORNIA - Junior Janel Cleffi powered the Warriors' women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over PSAC cross-over foe California on Saturday.

The win improves ESU's record to 7-4-1 while extending its unbeaten streak to four games. California drops to 3-11-1.

Cleffi opened up the scoring in the minute 59th minute to give the Warriors a one goal lead on a shot from 25 yards out that snuck in under the crossbar. ESU put the game away when junior Lynda Hicks received a pass from Cleffi and found the back of the net to putthe visitors ahead 2-0.

ESU dominated the majority of the play holding a 19-7 shot advantage and 6-2 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore Michelle Ginn recorded the Warriors' second consecutive shutout while making three saves. Her counterpart, Jennifer Ream, made eight saves in net for the Vulcans.

ESU will travel to Kutztown on Tuesday as part of a PSAC East doubleheader. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m., with the men's team to follow at 4 p.m.
