EDINBORO - Freshman Ashley Rucker scored the game-winning goal midway through overtime on an assist from Mary Brebenc to propel Edinboro to a 1-0 win over East Stroudsburg University Saturday afternoon.

Both sides had numerous chances through regulation but were unable to capitalize. Edinboro held a 21-13 shot advantage for the contest and a slight 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

ESU goalkeeper Janine Turcio kept the visitors in the match coming up with 14 saves. Samantha Gairns had five saves in the victory for Edinboro.

The Warriors will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 30, when they host Bloomsburg in the first round of the PSAC Tournament. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ESU will meet the Huskies for the third time this season and have a 2-1 win and a 1-1 tie in the first two matches.
