EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior back Brittany Staub has been named the PSAC East Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week after helping the Warriors allow just one goal in two wins last week.

ESU shut out Millersville 1-0 last Monday and beat Mansfield 2-1 in overtime on Saturday to take over first place in the PSAC East heading into Wednesday night's game vs. West Chester.

A win over the Golden Rams would make ESU the top seed in the PSAC East and the host for the PSAC Tournament next weekend.

The Warriors have allowed just eight goals in their last 11 games and have posted a 9-1-1 record in that stretch, including six shutouts.

Staub, a co-captain, has started all 16 games at center back for ESU (11-4-1) and has started 71 games in her career. She is a three-time first team All-PSAC East selection at back and was named to the Northeast Region second team last season.
