Box Score

EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior forward Lynda Hicks scored her team leading 11th goal of the season 3:22 into overtime to give the Warriors their sixth consecutive victory with a 2-1 win over Mansfield.

Mansfield jumped on the board first 11 minutes into the game on a goal by Colleen Corcoran. The header by Corcoran would be the only shot the Mountaineers would have all afternoon.

Junior co-captain Janel Cleffi evened the score at 1-1 in the 25th minute when she received a ball from fellow junior co-captain Jennifer Buckley and found the back of the net.

In a dominating performance, ESU out shot Mansfield 26-1 and held an 11-2 advantage in corner kicks. Janine Turcio picked up the win in goal improving to 10-1-1 on the year. Justine Segear made 14 saves in goal for Mansfield.

ESU improves to 11-4-1 overall on the season. The Warriors will play host to West Chester on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium. The contest will be for first place in the PSAC East as ESU stands at 8-2-1 and West Chester is 7-1-2.
