EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University senior goalie Julie Smith (Unityville/Hughesville) has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association South Region second team.
Smith, who was the first-team goalie on the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team, is now eligible for the IWLCA/U.S. Lacrosse All-American teams.
Smith played every minute of all 14 games and made 268 saves while facing 340 shots. She had eight games of 20-plus saves and a save percentage of .563. Charlotte Dixon of Pfeiffer was the first team goalie.
