East Stroudsburg, Pa. - In the most important match of the season, East Stroudsburg University fired past Indiana University Saturday afternoon. The Warriors controlled the first half before going on for a 15-11 victory and wait to see the other results Saturday to determine its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference fait.

ESU takes its season mark to 6-8 and improved to 5-7 in the PSAC. The Warriors make the PSAC playoffs since Bloomsburg defeated Millersville 12-8 and ESU gains the final berth by virtue of scoring one more goal than the Marauders in the teams' two meetings. IUP drops to 2-14 and 1-11 in the league.

Trailing 1-0, Kathryn Fretz scored twice and Jen Wigglesworth once to put ESU ahead 3-1. The Warriors scored three more times after the second IUP goal for a 6-2 halftime score.

IUP found the net three times after a Renee Maniscalco tally to start the second half to make it 7-5. The Warriors followed with three straight scores and went on to win 15-11.

Fretz finished with four goals to lead the home team offense. Leah Quigley added three scores and two assists while Renee Maniscalco fired in two goals and assisted on two more. Kari Allen and Diana Ferguson both scored twice and assisted on one goal. Julie Dugan and Wigglesworth posted one goal apiece. Goalie Julie Smith saved 14 shots in net.
