EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University and Edinboro will participate in a PSAC-wide initiative to support "Lax 4 Life" on Saturday when the two schools meet at 1 p.m. at Whitenight Field.

"Lax 4 Life" is a foundation that deals with adolescent suicide prevention. Proceeds raised at the lacrosse game on Saturday will go towards the Allyson Fund that was started two years ago after Allyson Green, the younger sister of West Chester goalkeeper Mary Beth Green, committed suicide.

Both schools will wear "Lax 4 Life" T-shirts in pregame warm-ups and have a collective photo taken to commemorate the occasion. Additionally, a collection will be taken up in the stands to help raise money for this worthy cause.

"This is a topic that girls from all of the schools in the PSAC hold close to their heart," said Warriors head coach Lynne Elphick, a 2003 graduate of ESU. "We are honored to be able to participate and help raise funds to support the Allyson Fund and the Green family."
