Box Score

EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore Molly O'Hara scored five goals, Christine Bradley had two goals and four assists and East Stroudsburg University mounted a comeback from a 7-3 deficit to run away from Millersville for a 15-11 victory in PSAC East lacrosse on Tuesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

O'Hara recorded her second career five-goal game and 12th career hat trick for the Warriors (5-7, 4-3) and Bradley followed her three goal, four assist game at Kutztown with another strong performance. She also had six ground balls and four caused turnovers and contributed to a defensive effort that limited Millersville (4-6, 1-6) to one goal over the final 25 minutes of the game.

ESU won the first meeting of the season 16-15 as sophomore Michelle Mangiaruga scored four goals, including the game-winner in the final minute, as the Warriors posted a comeback victory. Mangiaruga had two goals and two assists on Tuesday, while her twin sister Morgan had one goal and one assist for Millersville.

The Marauders opened their 7-3 lead in the first 20 minutes of the contest before ESU rallied with the final four goals of the half to level the score at 7-7 at intermission. Mangiaruga netted an unassisted goal to start the Warriors' run and assisted on O'Hara's third goal of the first half that tied the game with 1:18 left.

Bradley scored on an assist from sophomore Morgan Knowles to give ESU its first lead of the game 30 seconds into the second half, but Millersville responded with three of the next four goals and led 10-9 with 25:10 left.

The Warriors tied the game at 10-all when junior Sara Foley scored off a pass from Bradley with 21:03 left, and the score remained tied for the next 10 minutes until O'Hara gave the Warriors the advantage with a free position shot at the 10:57 mark.

Lindsay Toriello's third goal of the game for Millersville two minutes later made the score 11-11, but ESU ripped off four goals in the final seven minutes to pull away. O'Hara's final goal of the game, on another assist from Bradley, was the game-winner with 6:17 left, and Foley, junior Lindsey Moyer and Knowles all scored insurance goals for the Warriors.

Senior goalkeeper Kirstin Mayberry made 13 saves for ESU while backup goalkeeper Madison Allan stepped in and made 10 saves for Millersville. Starting goalkeeper Courtney Haggerty went down with an injury while warming up before the game.

The Warriors host PSAC West member Edinboro in their next action on Saturday at Whitenight Field.
