EAST STROUDSBURG - Freshman Molly O'Hara scored four goals and East Stroudsburg University moved one step closer to its first PSAC lacrosse tournament appearance since 2005 with a 12-9 win over Millersville on Monday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Warriors avenged a 12-2 loss to the Marauders earlier this season and improve to 7-5 in the conference, while Millersville falls to 5-7 in the chase for the fourth seed in the playoffs.

ESU can earn its postseason bid and tie the 2000 team that set the school record with its 11th win this season on Thursday afternoon against Shippensburg (4-10, 4-7). The Warriors won five games over the previous two years, a mark that they doubled on Monday while improving to 10-5 overall in 2008.

O'Hara scored her first two goals during a 4-0 spurt that gave ESU the lead for good after an even opening 10 minutes.

Senior Katie Fretz scored on an assist from freshman Christine Bradley 28 seconds after Millersville tied the game at 2-2. O'Hara netted the next two goals, and senior Renee Maniscalco found Bradley for another goal that put the Warriors ahead 6-2.

Maniscalco hooked up with Fretz for ESU's final goal of the half, and the Warriors led 7-4 at intermission.

Sophomore Sara Foley opened the second-half scoring with a free position goal, and O'Hara scored two more goals to give ESU a 10-5 lead.

ESU opened a 12-6 advantage with nine minutes left when freshman Jamie Wesztergom scored a free position goal and O'Hara assisted on Bradley's third goal of the game.

Elizabeth Weekley scored four of her five goals in the second half, including the final two of the game to pull Millersville within 12-9 with two minutes left, but the Marauders couldn't get any closer.

Junior Kirstin Mayberry made 10 saves in goal for ESU, which held a 41-34 advantage in shots and 43-32 edge in ground balls.

Senior Day festivities begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday as the Warriors look to wrap up their PSAC tournament appearance against Shippensburg.
