EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University’s field hockey game on Friday afternoon against No. 1 Bloomsburg has been moved up 30 minutes to 3:30 p.m.

The Warriors (12-4, 5-2), ranked No. 3 in the NFHCA Division II coaches poll, need a win over the top-ranked Huskies (14-1, 5-1) in their final PSAC East game of the season to secure their first PSAC playoff spot since 2002.

ESU can also qualify for the tournament with a loss by Kutztown (10-6, 3-3) in either of its final two conference games against Millersville or C.W. Post. The Golden Bears hold the tiebreaker over the Warriors by virtue of their 2-1 win at Bloomsburg on Sept. 7.

Both schools have one of the top scorers in the nation in ESU junior forward Caitlin Brownley (16 goals, eight assists) and Bloomsburg sophomore forward Amanda Riley (17 goals, four assists). The Huskies’ Breanne Tobin is also in the top 10 in scoring in Division II with 15 goals and three assists, while ESU junior Jessica Frantz is among the national leaders with nine goals and nine assists.
