EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior forward Caitlin Brownley, junior midfielder Joanna Reckley and freshman back Mical Fink were named to the All-PSAC East first team and Fink was recognized as the PSAC East Freshman of the Year to highlight East Stroudsburg University’s four all-conference field hockey selections, it was announced Wednesday.

Fink (Fleetwood/Fleetwood) is ESU’s first-ever selection as the PSAC Freshman of the Year, and is one of two freshmen on the first team in either division. Shippensburg back Ashley Taylor was the freshman of the year selection in the PSAC West and is also a member of the division’s first team.

Fink stepped immediately into the Warriors’ lineup at back and started all 20 games, helping ESU rank fourth in the 10-team conference with a 1.70 goals against average to go with five shutouts.

Brownley (Biglerville/Biglerville) ranked among the PSAC leaders in scoring throughout the year season and had 19 goals and eight assists, good for third in the PSAC in goals per game (0.95) and points per game (2.30). She also ranks third in school history in goals in a season and is tied for second in points.

The Warriors’ leading scorer had seven multi-goal games during her junior year, including hat tricks against Limestone and Mercyhurst. She registered a goal or an assist in 14 of the Warriors’ 20 games.

Junior forward Jessica Frantz (Kunkletown/Pleasant Valley) was named to the second team after earning second team All-PSAC West honors last season at IUP. She added 14 goals and 10 assists to the ESU lineup, tied for second in the conference in assists per game (0.50) and ranked fifth in points per game (1.90).

Reckley (Temple/Muhlenberg) contributed three goals and eight assists from her spot at midfield, where she started all 20 games for ESU. She has started 49 games over the last three seasons since moving into the lineup midway through her freshman year. Reckley had four goals and three assists a year ago.
