EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University senior midfielder Nikki Trunzo has been named to the NFHCA Division II All-America second team for the second straight year, it was announced Monday.

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University senior Nikki Trunzo, a 2007 second team field hockey All-American, has been selected to participate in the 2008 NFHCA Division II North/South Senior All-Star Game.

EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior midfielder Nikki Trunzo and senior goalkeeper Carolyn Kisling lead six East Stroudsburg University field hockey players on the 2008 All-PSAC East team, which was released Tuesday.

EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior Nikki Trunzo had a goal and an assist and five different players scored goals as East Stroudsburg University shut out Catawba 5-0 in non-conference field hockey on Tuesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

ESU Announces Initiatives to "Think Pink" for Breast Cancer Awareness

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University will hold several events to "Think Pink" in the fight against breast cancer, beginning with the Warriors' field hockey and women's soccer games during Homecoming Weekend. The women's volleyball team will also participate later this month, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

KUTZTOWN - East Stroudsburg University rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the final eight minutes of regulation, and sophomore Monica Gombita scored the game-winning goal 4:31 into the overtime period to lift the Warriors a thrilling 3-2 victory in PSAC East field hockey on Wednesday night at Kutztown.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - Seven different players found the back of the cage and Kierstyn DeNardo, April Sutton and Molly McNeil both had a goal and an assist as East Stroudsburg University improved to 3-0 with a 7-0 shutout at Merrimack in non-conference field hockey on Sunday afternoon.

EASTON, Mass. - Junior midfielder Kierstyn DeNardo scored both goals, including the game-winner seven minutes into the second overtime period, as East Stroudsburg University knocked off Stonehill 2-1 in non-conference field hockey on Saturday afternoon.

Field Hockey Wins Season Opener 4-1 over Philadelphia U

EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore Monica Gombita scored the game's first goal on an assist from junior Kierstyn DeNardo as East Stroudsburg University made its debut on the FieldTurf at Whitenight Field with a 4-1 victory over Philadelphia University on Thursday afternoon.

ESU Set to Celebrate FieldTurf Project on August 28

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University will officially unveil the newly-installed FieldTurf at Eiler-Martin Stadium and Whitenight Field when the Warriors open the 2008 football, men's soccer and field hockey seasons on Thursday, August 28.

Eiler-Martin Stadium will host a unique doubleheader when the defending PSAC champion men's soccer team plays Lincoln University at 4 p.m., and the football team takes on Virginia Union at 7:30 p.m. The field hockey program will play Philadelphia University in the first game on the turf at Whitenight Field at 4:30 p.m.

ESU Holds Groundbreaking for Turf Project at Whitenight Field

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University coaches and administrators broke ground at Whitenight Field on Monday and excavation is scheduled to begin on Tuesday for the installation of field turf at the Warriors' field hockey and lacrosse field.

ESU Graduate Cara Senese Selected to USA Indoor Field Hockey Pan American Games Team


EAST STROUDSBURG - Cara Senese, a two-time All-American at East Stroudsburg University and the head field hockey coach at East Stroudsburg South High School, has been selected to the 2008 USA women's national indoor field hockey team which will compete at the Indoor Pan American Games in November.
