Box Score

MILLERSVILLE - Freshman Brittany Kocis scored her first career goal 3:43 into the game, but Millersville did the rest of the scoring in a 4-1 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC field hockey on Tuesday afternoon.

Kocis, the sister of former ESU stars Ashley and Nicole Kocis, found the cage for the first goal of her career off an assist from junior forward Jackie Domzalski to give the Warriors an early 1-0 lead.

Jaclyn Kulesza scored consecutive goals for Millersville, tying the score 6:57 into the match and giving the Marauders the lead at the 11:09 mark. Melissa Barto made the score 3-1 with 10 minutes left in the first half, and Casie Baer capped the scoring with just under three minutes to play in the contest.

Junior goalkeeper Carolyn Kisling made eight saves for ESU, while her counterpart Jessica Heckman had six saves for Millersville.

Both teams are now 2-5 halfway through their PSAC schedule. ESU (4-6 overall) will continue its season long four-game road trip with matches at IUP and Mercyhurst this weekend.
