EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior forward Monika Fogelsanger has been named the PSAC East Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 16.5 points over two games and posting a double-double at West Chester on Saturday.

Fogelsanger (State College/State College) scored 19 points, tied her career-high with 13 rebounds and had five steals in a 75-60 loss to the Golden Rams.

She was 11-of-11 at the foul line to improve her season percentage to 85.7, which leads the PSAC East and is second overall in the conference. She is currently ESU's career leader in free throw percentage at 80.2 percent.

Fogelsanger scored 14 points, all in the first half, and was 5-of-7 from the field on Thursday at Cheyney.

An Academic All-District II selection with a 3.88 GPA in Psychology, Fogelsanger is a four-year starter and is averaging a career-high 10.1 points per game this season. She is second on the team in both rebounds (6.0 per game) and blocks (11).
