Box Score

CHEYNEY - Martina Randall scored 18 points, including six in a 10-0 second-half run, as Cheyney beat East Stroudsburg University 76-58 in PSAC East women's basketball on Thursday night at Cope Hall.

Jackie Yandrisevits scored 15 points and Monika Fogelsanger had 14 points, all in the first half, for the Warriors (9-12, 3-4).

Fogelsanger opened the game with a three-pointer but Cheyney (9-13, 5-3) scored the next 12 points to put the Warriors down 12-3 five minutes into the game. ESU recovered, as Yandrisevits hit a three and Fogelsanger scored the Warriors' next eight points, to tie the score at 16-all with 9:55 to go.

The Wolves came back with a big run and led 31-18 with four minutes left, and held a 39-29 advantage at intermission.

Randall helped Cheyney put the game away five minutes into the second half, as she hit three's to start and finish a 10-0 spurt that put the Wolves ahead 60-37.

The Warriors scored eight straight points, capped by a layup by Kristen Murray, to pull within 15 but that was as close as they would get.

Murray scored 10 points, her third straight game in double figures, and led ESU with five assists.

Danielle Jones (12) and Ashley Blake (11) teamed with Randall to give Cheyney three double-figure scorers. Stephanie Orji added six points, eight rebounds and five blocks.

ESU will return to southeastern Pennsylvania on Saturday with a trip to West Chester for a 1 p.m. start.
