MILLERSVILLE - Three players scored in double figures for the California Vulcans as they went on to defeat the East Stroudsburg University Warriors 59-52 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs held in Pucillo Gymnasium at Millersville University.
Lindsay Johnson, Bre Dillon and Kim Nowakowski scored 16, 16 and 11 points for the West's second seeded Vulcans.
The Warriors were led by sophomore Jackie Yandrisevits scoring 19 points, five rebounds and senior Alyssa Antolick contributing 10 points, six rebounds.
California led as much as 14 points in the first half, taking a 29-18 lead going into the half.
ESU came blazing from the locker room with an aggressive 10-0 run with contributions fro mYandrisevits and Monika Fogelsanger. Yandrisevits tallied two three-pointers while both the sophomore and Fogelsanger each added a pair of foul shots.
Maryellen Onofre added a three-pointer with 11:04 remaining on the clock off an Antolick assist to lead for the first time since 15:59 in the first half. Onofre ended with nine points and four rebounds.
California's Johnson answered with a three of her own at 9:59 on the clock to regain the lead for the remainder of the game.
The Warriors record falls to 25-4, tying with the 1994-95 team for the most wins in a season. California will move on to the PSAC championship game held on Saturday at 7 p.m. against the winner of IUP and Millersville.
