East Stroudsburg University sincerely appreciates your strong support to the intercollegiate athletic program. The University is committed to competitive athletic teams with goals which are consistent with the mission of the university, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
As a member of the NCAA, East Stroudsburg University is responsible for institutionally controlling its athletic program. Under this principle, the University is held accountable for the actions of all athletic representatives.
By NCAA definition, and "athletic representative" is any individual who is a member of an East Stroudsburg University booster club, has made contributions to the booster club of to the athletic department, or is involved in any way in promoting the athletic program.
Athletic representatives are prohibited by NCAA rules from making in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts with prospective student athletes or their family members.
Athletic representatives are also prohibited from providing student athletes with any "extra benefits". Examples of extra benefits include the provision of cash or loans, transportation, meals, clothes, housing, entertainment, gifts and any other benefit offered to a student athlete.
