PHILADELPHIA - East Stroudsburg University split a pair of matches on Saturday at the Penn Duals at The Palestra, falling 38-7 to the host Quakers and posting a 47-0 win over Gloucester CC.

Redshirt junior Shane Mallory improved to 9-1 in duals and 14-4 overall with two wins at 197 pounds. Mallory earned a 19-4 technical fall over Penn's Dan Zander and had a first-period pin of Gloucester's James Steward.

Redshirt freshman Thad Frick also won twice for the Warriors at 165 pounds, posting a 5-3 decision against Andrew Coles of Penn and pinning Kyle Anerousis of Gloucester in 38 seconds. Frick improves to 5-2 on the year after an impressive debut at the Southern Scuffle earlier in the week.

Frick and Mallory had two of ESU's five pins against Gloucester, with redshirt seniors Matt Swallow (133) and Scott Heckman (149) and sophomore Matthew Rizzo (141) also getting in on the action. Redshirt sophomore David Luthy had a major decision at 125, freshmen Nick Tetro (174) and Trevor Salvatore (184) earned their first collegiate wins, and sophomore Jesse Dunn won by medical forfeit at 157.

In the dual with Penn, brothers Mark Rappo (125) and Rick Rappo (141) both won by fall and Matt Dragon (157) posted a technical fall to give the Quakers three wins by bonus points. Penn also earned six points due to injury default at 184, and a forfeit at 285.

The Warriors are off until Saturday, Jan. 17 when they travel to Ohio for the Ashland Duals.
