BOSTON, Mass. - Redshirt senior Matt Swallow earned the only bonus points of the day with a major decision at 133 pounds and East Stroudsburg University took a 19-12 dual victory over Boston University at Case Gym on Sunday afternoon.

The Warriors picked up six wins, five by regular decision, including a 7-5 decision by redshirt senior Scott Heckman over Mike Roberts at 149 pounds. Roberts earned the 100th victory of his career as a Terrier last Sunday. ESU head coach Joey Rivera, a 2005 graduate of BU, went 86-30 in his career there and was an NCAA qualifier.

The Terriers led 6-4 through the first three bouts, with decisions by Ryan Dowd (8-6) over redshirt sophomore David Luthy at 125 and Abbie Rush (13-7) over sophomore Matthew Rizzo at 141 sandwiched around Swallow's 10-2 major decision of Alex Cournoyer. Swallow won three matches this week and has a 16-9 record, including a 9-4 mark in duals.

ESU led 7-6 following Heckman's victory and won the next two weight classes for a 13-6 advantage. Redshirt freshman Ken Monarque posted a 6-4 decision over Carlo Ferrandino at 157, and redshirt freshman Thad Frick won for the third time in his last four outings with a 5-3 decision over C.J. Inglin at 165.

BU's Hunter Meys took a 10-3 decision from redshirt sophomore Jeff Jacobs at 174 before ESU answered with another quality match from sophomore Ed Ebewo, who won all three of his matches for the Warriors this week. Ebewo beat Carmen Rondash, 5-3, for a 16-9 ESU lead.

The Terriers narrowed the gap to 16-12 in the 197-pound bout, where John Hall's riding time point gave him a 3-2 decision over redshirt junior Shane Mallory.

Junior Chris Birchler wrapped up the win for the Warriors with a 5-1 decision over Jim Connors at heavyweight. Birchler improves to 18-4 overall and 13-2 in duals this season.

ESU is 5-3-1 in its last nine duals, with the tie coming at Army on Friday night, and returns home to face EIWA opponent Bucknell on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse. The Warriors will finish their dual schedule with home matches against Wagner and Delaware State on Sunday.
