EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University's wrestling home opener on Thursday night at Koehler Fieldhouse will be televised on Blue Ridge TV-13 on Thursday and Friday evening at 10:30 p.m.

The Warriors, who wrestled their first 14 duals away from home, will take on Delaware Valley at 7 p.m. in the first of their three home duals this season.

ESU is led by its upperweights, junior heavyweight Chris Birchler and redshirt junior 197-pounder Shane Mallory. Birchler has a 15-3 record and 10-1 dual mark, while Mallory will also be looking for his 16th win of the season along with the 50th win of his career on Thursday night.

Delaware Valley is ranked No. 3 in the latest Division III poll and has five wrestlers ranked in the top 10. The Warriors counter with a lineup that includes redshirt senior Matt Swallow (133, 56 career wins), redshirt senior Scott Heckman (149, 2007 PSAC champion), redshirt freshman Thad Frick (165, 7-5 in 2009) and redshirt sophomore Jeff Jacobs (174, 5th at 165 at PSAC championships), along with Mallory and Birchler in the final two weight classes.

The Warriors will be on the road for three more duals following Thursday's match and return home to face EIWA opponent Bucknell on Friday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. and Wagner on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.

This year's EIWA Championships will be held at The Palestra at the University of Pennsylvania on March 8 and 9.
