EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore setter Josh Hobson had 42 assists and directed East Stroudsburg University to a season-high .360 attack percentage in a three-set win over NJIT on Tuesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors got 11 kills from senior Jon Daley (.400 pct.) and 10 from sophomore Eli Porr (.364 pct.) to avenge a pair of losses to the Highlanders in January. ESU has won four straight non-conference matches to improve to 8-7 on the season.

Sophomore Michael Semeraro (7 kills) and senior Kyle Duffy (5 kills) both hit .500 and Hobson had three kills on five attacks. Sophomore Don Hanna didn't commit an attack error at hit .421, with eight kills on 19 attacks.

Sophomore libero Drew Dvorsky led the ESU defense with 12 digs and Porr had nine to just miss a double-double.

The Warriors had 20 kills in a 30-23 win in the first game, then fought off the Highlanders for a 30-26 win in game two. NJIT led through the first two-thirds of the set before the Warriors won 10 of the final 14 points to take a 2-0 lead.

ESU ran out to an early lead in the third game and put away the Highlanders 30-20 while hitting a match-best .379 (15 kills, 4 errors, 29 attacks).

Adam Gustafson and Amobi Armstrong both had nine kills to lead NJIT (3-19).

ESU returns to EIVA Hay Division action on Thursday at 7 p.m. at New York University.
